I discovered a couple of days ago while attempting to balance a pencil on my nose that I've long suppressed a love for two animals: giraffes and vultures. I realized that I find giraffes awesome when I was thinking about Pegasus (you know, that winged horse guy). After a little bit I decided that, hey, winged horses are overrated. But a winged giraffe: that would be awesome. The awkwardness of such a thing amuses me to no end. Can you imagine those gangly legs flailing around while their owner is flying? It's great! I would kill for a flying giraffe (well, maybe not kill, but definitely... bruise or something). Thus, I found that I love giraffes.

As for vultures, I went on to thinking about them too (I had given up balancing the pencil by now after almost poking my eye out). I started feeling sorry for them. I mean, nobody likes vultures. Let's face it: they're freaking ugly. They have bald heads. They eat dead things. This isn't the kind of animal you would paint on china. But, they also don't really hurt anyone. They're scavangers; they don't kill often, if at all. So, I've decided to give them a pat on the back. They need a fan so I shall love them.

The conclusion? Giraffes and vultures rock. Love them or my legion of ugly birds and flying giraffes shall descend upon you and poke you with long sticks!
